Most reputable businesses realize that having a safe parking lot not only encourages repeat business, but avoids lawsuits and the negative publicity incurred should a customer get hurt, or worse yet, assaulted while patronizing the establishment. Make sure there is adequate lighting in all areas of the parking lot, to ensure the safety of patrons navigating to and from their cars in the dark. This will also deter criminal activity and protect their customers cars from potential break-ins.

Also inspect your parking lot to make sure it is safe and free from defects or hazards which can caused someone to trip and fall, such as cracks in the pavement or sidewalk, ice and snow, other defects that are not readily visible to the eye, but can be discovered by a thorough inspection.
